The OES Hong Kong Lecture and Dinner on 15 June 2015

Prof Ernesto Macaro, Professor of Applied Linguistics and Director of the University of Oxford Department of Education, delivered the ‘Joint Faculty of Education (HKU) & Oxford Education Society HK Lecture’ at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in Hong Kong on 15 June 2015.

His topic was ‘The teacher’s codeswitching and the learner’s developmental response: pursuing a research agenda’. The Lecture had a full house of over 40 participants.

After his Lecture, Ernesto joined 19 other Oxonians at the first ‘OES Hong Kong Dinner’ under Steven S K Kwok’s OES Country Championship (Hong Kong), 2014-17; they came from 10 different Oxford Colleges, including Kellogg, St Antony’s, LMH, Worcester, St Hilda’s, Keble, Linacre, Magdalen, Green Templeton, and Hertford.

We all enjoyed an inspiring and lovely evening!
