Country Champion role

In his role as CC, Himanshu is keen to help initiate a programme of cooperation between India and the Education and cooperating departments of Oxford University (OUDE).

He is keen to understand deeply the demographic, social, economic, financial, institutional, and policy issues which comprise the education debate on India.  At this early stage, he hopes to help initiate scholarly deliberations, with the focussed and time-bound goal that they lead to the definition of a road-map for engagement between OUDE and Indian counterparts.

He is keen to help organize activities to increase visibility of the OES in India to help advance the engagement, including:

  • Brainstorming with kindred spirits
  • Speedily initiate a “showcase” project to get things off the ground
  • Build a critical mass of members in India with the help of Oxbridge India societies, and Oxbridge alumni and personal networks
  • Establishing an “OES Desk” in India

Himanshu humbly and enthusiastically invites all interested parties, from India, Oxbridge, and elsewhere to guide him and help in this matter.  He can be reached at: hjain1410@gmail.com.
